SimCheck is a plagiarism detection software integrated into Canvas that checks your students' written work against our institutional repository, the web, library databases and journals, textbook publishers, homework help sites, and books.
SimCheck has been integrated into Canvas Assignments as an optional tool for instructors. It serves as a replacement for the previous tool, VeriCite.
Students may also check their own papers for plagiarism in a separate course site set up by the Academic Technology Center. These “draft” papers are not stored in the institutional repository. To check your paper for plagiarism, enroll in the SimCheck Canvas course. Click on "Check Your Assignment for Plagiarism" and submit your draft.
