Sign into chat for every shift. Every super has a unique log in which will be provided to them when they become a supervisor.
1. If the user does not exist in Alma, register them as a new user (button on top right-hand corner)
2. Fill in:
3. Click on Update User (button on top right-hand corner)
4. On the next page, on the left-hand side, click on the Username
5. Add the patron’s barcode as the Identifier
6. Click Save (button on top right-hand corner)
7. Patron is now registered
Food for fines and regular fines can be processed on here as well as in ALMA. These should be processed whenever a student brings in cans.
Adding and remove reserves are part of your responsibility as a student supervisor. The procedures for handling reserves can be found here.
If you add something to reserve during your shift, put it in your super report!
Follow the sceenshots below when processing or removing hold items:
After clicking on "pickup from shelf":
Click "cancel request" if the book is no longer needed by the patron. If the book is not being cancelled, go into fulfillment --> scan in items, and make sure "place directly on the hold shelf" is marked to "yes":
Scan the book in after it is pulled. It can then go on the hold shelf, with a green slip filled out and placed inside.
You should be prompted to log in through CAS, and you can use your WPI credentials.
