What is a citation manager?
A citation manager is where you can create, add, and store citations, kind of like iTunes for your references!
What can I do with most citation manager?
- Create and format bibliographies and in-text citations using many different citation formats (including APA)
- Share folders of references with others
- Check for and remove duplicate citations
- Add notes (ie. annotations) and tags
- Save and then re-use research
What can't I do with any citation manager?
- Correct already existing mistakes in a citation - YOU STILL HAVE TO PROOF YOUR CITATIONS!
- Can not import citations from a text file, Word File, or sheet of paper automatically - you will have to hand enter them in or go to the database export the citation
