Trans Awareness Week & Remembrance Day

Trans Awareness Week is 11/16 - 11/20 this year, ending on Trans Remembrance day

  • HRC’s Transgender and Gender-Expansive Employee Resource Group reminds us of what we can do to celebrate Trans Awareness Week.

  • Trans Remembrance Day is a day to remember and memorialize those in the transgender and gender non-conforming community who lost their lives to transphobia. The day was started by trans activist Gwendolyn Ann Smith on November 20, 1999 after the brutal murder of Rita Hester.

Over 100 major companies join together to say trans rights are human rights
