Anyone around the world can create fake news on social media platforms or through professional articles. Some people may wish to craft fake information with an ulterior motive, while others unintentionally spread false information thinking it is true.

Assessing who stated the news and whether there is objective evidence for it, is crucial to preventing the spread of fake information.
