Great Problems Seminar (GPS): Getting Started

Great Problems Seminar (GPS) resources at the library

Overview

Welcome to the GPS Research Guide. This guide is designed to be your one-stop information source for research in this course. Use this guide to find the right library resources for your research. This guide presents the most relevant search tools, i.e., databasesjournalsbooks, and websites, plus source evaluation resources, and citation and copyright resources.

Click on the red tabs to the left to access the information sources you need.  Within each tab, find tips, search tools, and resources to help you with your global research.

The Gordon Library is an important resource for you throughout your time at WPI:

  • The Library is a place of support, you can visit us in person or online
  • There are ways to access resources 24/7 from the library's homepage
  • Try exploring our resources on your own, but we are here to help, when needed!  We have Librarian office hours from 8:00 am-5:00 pm (M - F) and by appointment.

Don't forget about another resource available to you on and off campus - the Research Librarians!  That's our job - to help you with the research process.  You can contact us in person, by email, by phone or by live chat.  Our contact information is in the box to the left.
