Cell publishes findings of unusual significance in any area of experimental biology, including but not limited to cell biology, molecular biology, neuroscience, immunology, virology and microbiology, cancer, human genetics, systems biology, signaling, and disease mechanisms and therapeutics. In addition to primary research articles, Cell features review and opinion articles on recent research advances and issues of interest to its broad readership in the leading edge section.

Science serves as a forum for discussion of important issues related to the advancement of science by publishing material on which a consensus has been reached as well as including the presentation of minority or conflicting points of view. Development is published by The Company of Biologists, a not for profit publishing organization dedicated to supporting and inspiring the biological community. Developmental Biology is an official journal of the Society for Developmental Biology.
