General Data Resources

The Gordon Library subscribes to the following statistics databases. Use the links below to access the databases. On-campus users will be brought directly to the database. Off-campus users will be prompted to enter their WPI username and password before being brought to the database.

Access the most recent and relevant statistics and studies on a specific topic by simply entering a keyword. statista aggregates statistical data on over 600 international industries from more than 18,000 sources, including market researchers, trade organizations, scientific journals, and government databases.
Historical Statistics of the United States This link opens in a new window
Data, charts, and statistics on topics such as population, work and welfare, economy, governance and international relations.

Users can search and download a variety of statistical resources compiled by the United Nations (UN) statistical system and other international agencies.

DataCite’s mission is to be a world-leading provider of persistent identifier services to help make research outputs and resources findable, citable, connected and reused globally. Search for datasets across over 1000 different major data centers and repositories including ICPSR, Harvard Dataverse, Data-Planet, the California Digital Library, Figshare, Dryad, the Center for Open Science, UC San Diego Library Digital Collections, etc.
Google Dataset Search
Dataset Search enables users to find datasets stored across the Web through a simple keyword search. The tool surfaces information about datasets hosted in thousands of repositories across the Web, making these datasets universally accessible and useful.
KAGGLE
Anyone can freely access many datasets across a wide variety of subjects. They simply create usernames and passwords or use their Google or Facebook account to login.
Data USA
The datasets are presented with colorful visualizations. Users can copy, download or print content for your own use, and you can also include excerpts from Data USA, databases and multimedia products in your own documents, presentations, blogs, websites and teaching materials, provided that suitable acknowledgment of Data USA as source is given.
