Summon Book/eBook Search

Books are important sources of historical scholarship. Look for books by historians. To find books at Gordon Library, type your keywords into WPI Library Search, and then use the Books filter on the left to limit your search results to just books.

ILLiad: Borrowing from other Libraries

Is there something you need that the WPI library doesn't have? Our Interlibrary Loan service allows WPI students and faculty to request items from other libraries free of charge.

Search in WorldCat to find books available at other libraries:

Curbside Pickup for Books

Many of Gordon Library's books are available digitally, but you may need/want to access print books as well. While WPI is in Stay in Place/Alert Level Yellow Status, the library will be offering curbside pickup for print books.

Curbside service: Faculty, students, and staff who need to borrow print books from the library, or who are picking up books received through interlibrary loan, can do so through our no-contact curbside service. Beginning Friday, January 15, books can be requested for curbside pick-up through the library’s online catalog. You will receive a confirmation email when your items are ready, and you can contact us at 508-831-5410 to schedule your pick-up, Monday – Friday, between 10am and 2pm.

How to request a book via WPI Library Search:

  • When you find a print book you want in WPI Library Search, click on the title of the book. Then go to the Get It section and click Sign in.

  • Use your WPI login credentials to sign in. Then click on Request.

  • After your book has been retrieved, you will receive an email about setting up a pickup time.

Home delivery: For faculty and students unable to visit the campus in person during this time, wherever possible we will continue to offer delivery of library materials to home addresses. Please contact us at accessservices@wpi.edu if you need this service.
