In support of the national Breast Cancer Awareness Month October 2022 observance, the CDC Division of Cancer Prevention and Control will focus messaging and activities on finding cancer early, when it’s easiest to treat.

Many of the symptoms of breast cancer are invisible and not noticeable without a professional screening like a mammogram or ultrasound. But some symptoms can be caught early just by looking out for certain changes in your breasts and being proactive about your breast health.

National Breast Cancer Foundation provides early detection screenings, including mammograms, breast health education, and a supportive community.
