Graduate Student Information & Resources: Find Books

Information about library resources available to graduate students.

I am off campus. How can I get into electronic books I found searching the Library Catalog?

The library subscribes to many electronic book collections (JSTOR, SpringerLINK, eBook Collection (EBSCOhost), Ebook Central, Knovel, MIT Press Direct, O’Reilly) which can be searched within our library catalog.

  • Search in WPI Library Search, and then use the search filters on the left to narrow down your search. Under "Availablity," select "Available online." Under "Research Type," select "Books."
  • To access an ebook, click on the "Available Online" link below the title.
  • Then log in with your WPI username and password.

WPI Library Search

Search WPI LIBRARY SEARCH for books, articles, media and more!

Can I use other area libraries?

WPI students, faculty, and staff may borrow directly from over a dozen local libraries by obtaining an Academic & Research Collaborative (ARC) card. Bring your valid WPI ID to the Gordon Library Circulation Desk and within minutes you will hold the key to borrowing from a variety of libraries at Clark University, College of the Holy Cross, Assumption College, and many others. Your ARC card is valid through the end of the academic year.
