Trans Awareness Week is 11/13 - 11/19 this year, ending on Trans Remembrance day 11/20

  • HRC’s Transgender and Gender-Expansive Employee Resource Group reminds us of what we can do to celebrate Trans Awareness Week.
  • Trans Remembrance Day is a day to remember and memorialize those in the transgender and gender non-conforming community who lost their lives to transphobia. The day was started by trans activist Gwendolyn Ann Smith on November 20, 1999 after the brutal murder of Rita Hester.
