Library Instruction

The Research Librarians at WPI provide instructional services for all classes. We can offer in-person, recorded or online library instruction, help you find online resources to support your teaching, and more. Please let us know if you have questions or suggestions about library instruction support for faculty: reslib@wpi.edu

Request an Instruction Session

If you would like to request some form of library instruction for an online or in-person course, please use the Library Instruction Request Form, and the instruction librarians will respond promptly. If you have any questions, please email us: reslib@wpi.edu

Instruction services include:

  • Online or in-person library instruction customized for your course requirements. 

  • An online research guide (LibGuide) created for your course, with customized resources and information.

  • Video recordings on library topics related to your course, such as database searching, citations, etc. 

  • Collaboration on class assignments to help integrate information literacy and library research skills into the class curriculum.

  • Library assistance and feedback on student work on the Canvas course page.

  • Research consultations with individual students and project teams (via Zoom or in-person, upon request). Students can request a consultation online: http://wpi.libcal.com/appointments/
